Decorative Glass Plates

Glass plates, made from Mark Montano's tutorial.
Check it out, they are not very hard to make, but it takes a bit of time!

Angle-plates were Christmas gifts for my mom and my aunt, while the Hello Kitty was a birthday gift for my niece.
I had a hard time making these, because when I made the Hello Kitty one, I had all the required materials, but not the time I needed to make it look it's best. For the other two, I misplaced some of my materials and I had to do it as best I could with what I had.

The world at our feet

Boring, brown doormats from IKEA gets new life, using spraypaint. Super easy, cheap and decorative!

I drew a deer's head on some carboard and used it as a stencil for one of the doormats. To get the roses, place lace fabric on the mat and spray on with spray paint.

Merry Christmas!

From all of us to all of you,
have a very merry Christmas!

I cut out a few hears from some bark, and made it into decorations. It was time-consuming as I had to use a small kitchen-knife, but it was worth it in the end!

Free Bird

For my sisters birthday in September, I made here a vase.
I had wanted to use the motive of blowing a flower and it turning into birds, for a long time, and finally I could use it on this!
I used markers for glass and porcelain. After baked in the oven, they are dishwasherproof for some 60-70 degrees. Which is great!

If I leave here tomorrow

Would you still remember me?
For I must be traveling on, now,
'Cause there's too many places I've got to see.
But, if I stayed here with you, girl,
Things just couldn't be the same.
'Cause I'm as free as a bird now,
And this bird you can not change.
Oh... oh... oh... oh... oh...
And the bird you cannot change.
And this bird you cannot change.
Lord knows I can't change.

Cupcake candles

A long while ago, I made these cupcake candles. They are made entirely from candle scraps that my mom's been saving up (she burns a lot of candles). They are very easy to make, and very decorative!

This is how you do it!
Sort out your candles! You will want one color of candles for the topping and one color for the bottom.
You should keep the colors of the candles that you mix for each part as similar as possible, or toss in some white if you don't have enough.
Start by melting the candle for the bottom first. When melted, pour into silicon cupcake molds, place a candle thread in the middle of it. Hold it up using a wire or some other method of your preffering. Place in the fridge so it cools down quicker.

Melt the candle for the topping in a wather bath as well.
Use a handheld mixmaster to fluffen up the candlewax as it cools. This might take some time in the beginning, but when it starts to cool, it cools quickly.
Use a spoon or two to shape the fluffy wax around the thread. Place in the fridge until cooled, and then you can remove the silicone mold.

If you want it to smell nicely, you can add a few drops of candle

(There is something wrong with the text adjuster. I can't center the writing..)

Catching dreams

It's been a while since I've been updating. It's not for the lack of doing stuff.
Well, maybe a little.
Anyway, here's a few of my old work. I will add more after Christmas so I don't spoil any gifts!

For my nieces birthday in November, I made her a dreamcatcher.
I remember getting one when my mother had been to America on vacation, and it's been next to my bed ever since. I wanted to give her one too, because it feels nice to have a dreamcathser next to your bed, even if you don't believe the things about them catching dreams.
